Paul McCobb Low Table/ Bench

 

Similar to George Nelson's slat bench, this low table by Paul McCobb functions as a coffee table, bench or platform for case goods. McCobb's planner group uses tapered conical legs which screw into the underside and are interchangable should a different height be desired. The finish on this piece is original and shows wear from age and use. It can be restored keeping the original color, stained a different color, or ebonized. Adding an upholstered cushion would make it very comfortable as a bench.
