This spectacular example of the iconic Eames lounge chair is an authentic piece made by Herman Miller. They only recently began offering the chair in this configuration. In fact, this particular chair was the first one they made and was used by Herman Miller to shoot promotional photos.
 
A great graphic iteration, the chair is upholstered in checkered fabric designed by Alexander Girard. Interestingly, it varys slightly from the production version. The black wood seat shells are veneered in walnut rather than ash like the production model.
