This model 405 coffee table design by Florence Knoll was designed in 1955 as part of the parallel bar group which included lounge chair and sofas designed with the same double steel bars for legs/ base. The spare design is elegant in its minimalist simplicity, and is expertly constructed with fine details. It retains its original glass top which has a pale green edge– a testament to its age.
