Ralph Rye builds on the tradition of cantilevered chair designs started at the Bauhaus by Mart Stam, Marcel Breuer, and Mies van der Rohe. Rye's elegant version reverses the cantilever and creates an armrest for the sitter. The stainless steel frames support  seats and backs of slung black saddle leather.
