This terrific vintage Tempo is a great example of 1960s Japanese guitar manufacturing. It is obviously inspired by by the offset Fender Jaguar/ Jazzmaster design but has its own unique vibe with a very dynamic shape to the double cut-away body– lending it a Burns "Bison" kinda feel .

The body is fitted with two single-coil pickups, a three-way switch, one volume, one tone, a two-way tone selector switch, and an adjustable bridge with a smooth tremolo tailpiece all on a four ply black pickguard. The maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with dot markers and 21 frets topped by a six-on-a-side open gear tuning machines. The red burst finish on the body is rich and vibrant.

Not only beautiful, this Tempo is well built, easy to play and sounds great. The single coil pickups sound terrific both clean and overdriven. We particularly like the dark tone offered by the selector switch on the neck pick-up.

The guitar is entirely original and in terrific condition. It includes the original black-tipped trem arm and the original case.
