This fanciful mobile is pure delight. Festooned with birds, flowers and leaves, this by Chilean artist Cesar Vasquez reminds us of why Alexander Girard was so enamored with folk art.

Created with multiple layers that give a wonderful depth to the silhouetted shapes, the piece has an exuberance that comes though every element of the design. The most elaborate bird, the large rooster at the bottom, is an independent piece resting on his perch. The flowers and birds have brightly colored enameled elements that along with the hammered and dimpled textures the copper and brass provide significant surface interest.
