This handsome dining set was acquired from the estate of a former Herman Miller executive. It features five DCM side chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames as well as the "Universal Base” dining table with an aluminum base that supports the white 54” top. The DCMs are the last iteration of the late 1940s design. The chair was originally designed with a bent plywood seat and back. This version uses the same metal frame, but molded plastic for the seat and back which is then covered in foam and upholstered making it extremely comfortable. The deep blue fabric is “Polynit” a design by Alexander Girard that is soft, stretchy, and hard wearing.
