This table by Eileen Gray is just as fresh looking and innovative today as when it was designed in 1927. Gray was fond of furniture that was versatile and easily moved around the room. This lightly scaled side table's construction offers a built-in handle which makes it easy to place almost anywhere and the cantilevered top allows it to scoot up to a sofa.
 
After being produced for many years under a licensed Italian maker, German manufacturer Vereinigte Werkstätten, now known as ClassiCon has been producing it since 1983. This is a vintage example from the 80s and is in good original condition.
