Designed by Danish master Finn Juhl and crafted by Baker Furniture in the US, this large coffee table is exquisite. 
 
Finn Juhl was skeptical that any American manufacturer could produce his designs to his high standards. After visiting Baker furniture in Grand Rapids his mind was changed, and in the early 1950s he licensed his designs to them. Juhl even developed some pieces specifically for Baker. This table is one of those. The large scale coffee table has all the characteristics of Finn Juhl's work: sculptural without being overdone, understated without being boring, and always finely crafted with refined detailing. 
 
This example in teak has been refinished and is in very good condition.
