This amazing mid-century rug was custom made for an important, high-end modernist home designed by architect Arnold Scheffner. It was originally a giant elliptical shape, but has since been cut down to a still impressive  12' X 15' 3" size.
 
The rug features an ivory background with thick colorful stripes in vivid red, orange and ultramarine blue. The design is reminiscent of the art of abstract artist Morris Lewis. It would make quite the statement in a loft, large living room, or frankly any space that will accommodate its size.
