This wonderful bronze sculpture by Irving Amen (1918-2011) features a couple wrapped in an embrace in an abstract, almost cubist manner. The work is compelling from every angle and is mounted on a black stone base.

Amen was born in New York city, studied at the Pratt Institute, was a painter, printmaker, and sculptor exhibiting widely and teaching at Pratt and the University of Notre Dame. His works are held in many important museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris.

Signed "Amen" on the bottom edge.
