A fantastic design that builds on historic precedents, Jeff Messerschmit's "Pipe Line" chair combines luxurious materials in a rationalist manner accentuating the components of the chair and the bearing and borne elements. The lucite legs support an upholstered seat via an aluminum brackets that speaks to the prevailing industrial aesthetic of the post-modern period.
