Gordon & Jane Martz's work is finally getting the recognition it has so long deserved. One design which was honored was their model 101 lamp that was selected by Edgar Kauffman for the 1953 Good Design exhibit. The simple teardrop shape was offered in solid colored glazes or variegated, or striped like this example. The subtle gradations of earthen tones activates the surface of the otherwise simple form.
 
The lamp is hand signed and marked with a paper label.
