Important modernist designer Tony Paul designed lighting and furniture for 60 years and for a variety of manufacturers including serving pieces for the "Tempo" collection by Woodlin-Hall. Paul was a native New-Yorker, yet these designs exude a California cool with modest materials such as iron rod and bent plywood. The candle holders were in fact Tony Paul's first manufactured design. They have such a playful "sputnick" style, they perfectly capture the "atomic era" of mid-century design.
