Gordon and Jane Martz are famous for their work in ceramic. Lamps, tables, bowls, decorative accessories and artwork all received their special touch in the kiln. However their sensitive aesthetic extended beyond pottery. These floor lamps are a terrific example.

They made many lamps of walnut with ceramic tile on the base or an attached table. These uncommon lamps are crafted of oak, and the tiles laid into the base are of wood rather than ceramic. The different effect is subtle, but very pleasing– creating a cohisive whole with a material used in an unconventional manner.

The lamps measures 58.75"h X 11.5"d (at the base). They retain their original oak finials and are sold sans-shade.
