In addition to it's beautiful materials, and terrific scale, this versatile chest has several functions. It of course can be used for storage, but it would be equally at home at the foot of a bed, at the bedside, serving as a side table or coffee table. The addition of a glass top would allow it to occupy an even larger area.
 
The piece has acquired an overall patina from age and use.
