Russel Wright's collaboration with Bauer Pottery in the 40s was short lived but resulted in some of what many consider his most evocative creations. Wright was displeased that the glazes on these pieces could not be created more consistently. Ironically the rich heavily varied glaze is one of the very qualities that appeals to collectors.
