This beautiful  vase by extravagant designer and ceramicist Sascha Brastoff has a subtle bulbous shape that has a teal glazed background and is decorated on the front with his dramatic "Star Steed" on the front, and lyrical leaves on the back. 
 
Lovingly hand painted in umber, green, black and blue with gold lines, it also has physical depth achieved with subtle sgraffito in the small circles and the horse's tail.  The piece is signed on the front bottom right and also on the bottom with his rooster stamp and the mark "F20"
