The DCM chair (Dining Chair Metal base) is one of their most iconic and important examples of the revolutionary designs by Charles and Ray Eames. It came from their war-time experiments in molded plywood furniture and every serious design museum holds at least one example in their collection.
These three DCMs are from 1953 and feature a red analine dye finish to the seat and back as well as a rich overall patina to both the wood and the metal which is a testament to their 73 years of service.
Structurally sound, they are fit for purpose and for many more years of use. They could use replacement boot glide floor protectors for the feet.
