The appeal of this lamp lies in the beautifully sculpted details of its solid walnut base. The neck is cylindrical brass which meets the walnut which has a tapered column with lovely subtle curves where it meets the neck and base. Three recessed ball feet create a reveal below the base.
 
The period shade (which appears to be original) is in very good condition.
